Baby fever swept across several states this summer as Proctor & Gamble teamed with Operation Homefront (OH) to sponsor a number of Star-Spangled Babies baby showers.
At the Las Vegas event, 57 new and expectant parents gathered to have fun, win some prizes, receive their baby supplies and, importantly, connect with other moms who understand the challenges that come with being a military parent or spouse.
Allison Perry, one of the attendees, wanted the donors to know how much the event meant to her. “Thank you for all the time and effort you have put into this amazing event for expectant moms! It looks very nice, thank you for the prizes, food and great time.”
About one month earlier, Army veteran, two-time paralympian and military mom, Melissa Stockwell, joined P&G and OH in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where 100 new and expectant parents gathered.
Since 2008, Operation Homefront and their partners have hosted Star-Spangled baby showers to provide new and expecting moms with the resources and essential baby supplies they need to help welcome their new little one into the world. In most locations, the families who participate have deployed service members, wounded service members, and other junior and mid-grade service members and their families.
