Leadership

April
Postell

VP of Critical Financial Assistance

Military and veteran families carry a lot, often quietly. I’m honored to serve them with compassion and dignity by helping connect families to the financial assistance and stability they need, so they feel supported, respected, and not alone.

April Postell joined Operation Homefront in 2013 and currently serves as Vice President of Critical Financial Assistance. She leads the strategy and operations of the organization’s flagship financial assistance program, with responsibility for program execution, policy, fiscal stewardship, and oversight to ensure support is consistent, family-centered, and grounded in care. April brings more than 12 years of leadership experience with a practical approach focused on strengthening outcomes for the families we serve. She collaborates cross-functionally to optimize systems and processes that serve families with dignity and consistency. April holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of Houston–Downtown and a Master of Science in Family & Child Studies from Texas State University. Her connection to this mission is personal and shaped by her extended family’s service in both the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army.
