Procter & Gamble Employees assemble 1,000 Comfort Care Kits for military families at Great American Ballpark
CINCINNATI, Ohio. – Operation Homefront, the national nonprofit that builds strong, stable, and secure military families, was honored to join more than 200 Cincinnati-area Procter & Gamble employees at the Great American Ballpark on September 27 to assemble 1,000 Comfort Care Kits for military families. Through its long-standing partnership with Operation Homefront, P&G’s generous support has helped to make an impact on the lives of military families across the country.
P&G employees worked in one-hour shifts to assemble the kits, with the backdrop of the historic Great American Ballpark. The kits included familiar products from P&G, including Pantene, Crest, Gillette, Secret, Old Spice, Olay, Aussie, Oral B, and Braun. Operation Homefront will distribute the 1,000 Comfort Care Kits to military families at Operation Homefront events throughout the year
Margi Kirst, Chief Development Officer for Operation Homefront, was on hand to thank P&G and to share Operation Homefront’s story.
“This amazing gesture from Procter & Gamble and their employees serves as a clear reminder to military families of the support they have from their fellow Americans,” said Kirst. “We are so honored to have partnered with Procter&Gamble for the last three years to help thousands of military families start strong and stay strong in the communities that they have worked so hard to protect.”
The globally-recognized company and the national nonprofit have had a strong partnership since 2016, and in 2018, launched the “Start Strong, Stay Strong” campaign with a special website with resources for military moms.
“Procter & Gamble is proud to partner with Operation Homefront to help support military families,” said Tara Polanco, Vice President, North America Market Operations. “Our employees were excited to have the opportunity to thank our servicemen and women in the Military by assembling these Comfort Care kits and including our own handwritten thank you cards that share our great appreciation for what they do.”
