STORIES OF Impact
Bernell Browley spent 20 years in the Navy and served five deployments. During that time, the family faced food insecurity and relied on programs like Holiday Meals for Military and Back-to-School Brigade® to save money. Now, they are part of the Transitional Homes for Veterans program and feel like there’s finally solid ground under their feet. Learn more about the family and their progress here!
Femi Akingbade joined the Army to give back to the country that gave him so many opportunities. He planned to stay in for 20 years but was medically retired after only size years of service, and in 2025, the Akingbade family entered the Transitional Housing (Apartments) program.
