Operation Homefront Elevates Support for Military Families Through 11 Days of Impact
SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Operation Homefront, the national nonprofit whose mission is to build strong, stable, and secure military families, has launched the #11DaysOfImpact campaign to reinforce their mission to serve America’s military families.
Veterans Day represents a day of appreciation for America’s veterans, service members and their families. It is a day to thank them for their dedicated service to the nation, especially during these more precarious times. The COVID-19 pandemic has taken a tremendous toll on everyone, including the military community. Through the #11DaysOfImpact, Operation Homefront is issuing a challenge to help raise $111,000 to support their critical mission.
Starting November 1 and running through Veterans Day, Operation Homefront will utilize their social media channels to share stories of how their partners and programs have positively impacted the military families they serve. Carnival Cruise Line, Interstate Batteries All Battery Center, Maaco, Brown & Brown of Florida, in cooperation with Wright Flood, Knockaround Sunglasses and American Furniture Warehouse have joined the campaign, accepting the imposed challenge by pledging donations that will benefit programs from Critical Financial Assistance to veteran transitional housing and the upcoming annual Holiday Meals for Military families.
“Joining the military is an act of service before self, one that demands a total commitment from the service member and their family,” said Brig. Gen. (ret.) John I. Pray, Jr., President and CEO of Operation Homefront. “Our 11 Days of Impact campaign provides every American a way to honor them for all they have done and continue to do to protect the freedoms we enjoy daily.”
Operation Homefront also invites other companies to serve America’s military families by sending an e-mail about joining the 11 Days of Impact campaign. Likewise, supporters of the veteran community can participate in the 11 Days of Impact by donating to Operation Homefront or sending a message of thanks to a military or veteran family.
