For six years, CSX has been a vital partner in Operation Homefront’s mission to build strong, stable, and secure military families so they can thrive, not simply struggle to get by, in the communities – OUR communities – they have worked so hard to protect. Pride in Service^TM is CSX’s long-term community investment initiative to deliver the resources service members need—when and where they need it.

Rolling Out Relief

Operation Homefront and partner CSX joined forces recently to deliver an unexpected and impactful surprise to dozens of deserving military veterans and their families. Through the Rolling Out Relief campaign, the organizations covered one month of rent or mortgage expenses for a veteran in each of CSX’s 26 service states.

How We Are Helping Year-Round

CSX Pride in Service helps Operation Homefront build strong, stable, and secure military families by:

Offering critical financial assistance to hundreds of service families in their times of need.
Helping thousands of service family members connect more deeply with their communities and find a sense of belonging.
Engaging employee volunteers in service projects to show gratitude to our military.
Supporting Operation Homefront’s relief and recurring family support programs, which among other things, provides school supplies for families, critical baby supplies for new and expecting military moms, as well as raising funds for military families everywhere.

Service is what CSX is all about and its employees believe in giving back to the community. Through Pride in Service, Operation Homefront is honored to join CSX in delivering our impactful programs.

Back-to-School Brigade®

Our Back-to-School Brigade provides backpacks filled with school supplies for military kids across the U.S. to help offset the expense of preparing for school each year. Since inception, Operation Homefront has distributed nearly 550,000 backpacks to military children.

Star-Spangled Babies®

Star-Spangled Babies provides critical baby supplies to help military moms welcome their little ones home at a time when they are often far away from family and friends. Since inception, Operation Homefront has celebrated and supported over 22,000 new and expectant parents through the program.
