Press Release

Welcome Scott Arcuri as VP of Operations

By Operation Homefront

July 24, 2023

SAN ANTONIO, TX —Operation Homefront is pleased to welcome Col. (ret) Scott Arcuri to the Operation Homefront team as Vice President of Operations. As military families are moving to new duty stations and facing the challenges of adjusting to new communities, Scott will oversee impactful, expansive recurring support programs such as the Back-to-School Brigade, Holiday Meals for Military, Star-Spangled Babies showers and other programs that provide a financial lift to these families at critical moments in their lives.

In his new role, Scott will be responsible for six regional teams that operate across the United States, along with supervising the family support services team.  Arcuri’s career has been devoted to leading, developing, and assisting Airmen and their families across the globe and he is passionate about continuing that work at Operation Homefront.

Scott has a distinguished 32-year career in the Air Force. He spent the majority of his time in uniform as a personnel officer and he commanded units in Korea and in South Carolina.  Scott held a variety of staff and leadership positions during his career, including Director of Personnel for U.S. Air Forces in the Middle East, and later in Europe and Africa; two tours at the Air Force Personnel Center; and three tours at Headquarters Air Force at the Pentagon.  Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a master’s degree from Central Michigan University, Air Command and Staff College, and Air War College.

“We are excited that Scott has joined Operation Homefront. His experience leading several large organizations will serve him well as his team of staff and volunteers serve military families across the nation through impactful events, like our Back-to-School Brigade, which is set to distribute over 30,000 backpacks by summer’s end,” said Brig. Gen. (ret.) Robert Thomas, Chief Operations Officer of Operation Homefront.

“Military families have given so much as they courageously serve to protect our freedoms, and it’s an honor to join Operation Homefront. This is an incredibly talented team working hard to deliver for military families in their time of need after all they have done for us in our nation’s time of need,” Arcuri said.

About Operation Homefront:
Operation Homefront is a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to build strong, stable, and secure military families so that they can thrive – not simply struggle to get by – in the communities they have worked so hard to protect. Recognized for superior performance by leading independent charity oversight groups, 85 percent of Operation Homefront expenditures go directly to programs that support tens of thousands of military families each year. Operation Homefront provides critical financial assistance, transitional and permanent housing, and family support services to prevent short-term needs from turning into chronic, long-term struggles. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and the support from thousands of volunteers, Operation Homefront proudly serves America’s military families.
